Before Reddit-First AEO:
After Reddit-First AEO:
Our team and Pierre (CEO) worked together to build a comprehensive AEO strategy with a long-term view: dominate AI search results for best outbound tools, best B2B email finders, and reverse email finders. This is a competitive market with established names like Apollo, Clay, LinkedIn, and FullEnrich dominating the space but Icypeas, as a newer player, now ranks alongside them after consistent brand mentions across channels (Reddit, YouTube, Quora, X, Threads, Bluesky, Meta, HubSpot Community, and other niche communities). We implemented over 500+ brand mentions across a long-term period to drive results using highly targeted comments and posts placed in the latest, most relevant discussions, threads, and videos where people talk about outbound tools and email finders. Written in a way that never sounds like marketing, these mentions got Icypeas picked up by AI as a community-recommended tool.
We researched which forums, platforms, and communities would surface the most potential buyers and agencies looking for B2B email verification tools including HubSpot Community, Reddit, Quora, X, Threads, and YouTube. We then filtered for the most recent discussions gaining early traction and commented there.

We write like someone who genuinely found Icypeas useful. not just listing features and benefits. It's about sharing what worked in a specific scenario, not pitching the product. Each platform demands a different writing style, but LLMs consistently favor conversational, customer-POV tone. For example: sharing your daily outbound stack and mentioning Icypeas as the best email verifier in it without overexplaining, which would read as inauthentic.
While Reddit is the top source for many LLMs, platforms like YouTube, X, Quora, Threads, and Facebook also rank highly. Niche sites like HubSpot Community and Salesforge are where B2B customer already hangs out since someone using HubSpot or Apollo is exactly the kind of person who needs an email verifier. So instead of putting all our eggs in one basket, we spread brand mentions across platforms, which performed significantly better and drove consistent traffic to the Icypeas website. They started at 1-1.5K monthly traffic and grew to 7.7-8K per month, with 33% month-over-month growth driven by references on ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.
There's a subtle shift in customer behavior that traditional SEO agencies aren't adapting to fast enough. People still search on Google but increasingly, when they need a deep dive without spending hours researching before buying a B2B tool, they ask LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini instead.
These models are remarkably good at comparing options, listing benefits, and summarizing highlights and most of those data are pulled from third-party UGC platforms like Reddit, Quora, X, YouTube, and Meta, where people write conversationally and LLMs cite most often. By showing up there and getting your brand mentioned, you get recommended by AI and put directly in front of buyers at the exact moment they're deciding.
