4x User Sign-ups

Before Reddit Commenting:

  • Stuck with only 20-40 daily user sign-ups
  • Big competitors like YC School are dominating the search/LLMs answers

After Reddit Commenting:

  • 4x user sign-ups and consistent 100-180 user sign ups from there
  • Cited by Google AI Overviews
  • Top-ranked in questions such as "how do I meet co-founders"

Reddit Commenting Actually Works!

We worked directly with Hazim (co-founder) and the CoffeeSpace team to deliver a consistent Reddit marketing effort, e.g., commenting and posting at a volume of over 100 comments and 4 posts per month, to achieve a significant increase in daily new user signups.

Budget: $1000/mo

Volume: 100 comments + 4 posts /mo

Timeframe: long-term (over 3 month)

  1. Using our own personal Reddit accounts that have been warmed up for 7-8 years (like this one
  2. Finding relevant subreddits to client to monitor for the latest and trending posts (we're aiming for a combo of old threads that already ranked high on Google/LLMs), and also the newest posts that are trending (see this
  3. Commenting under the posts, first providing helpful advice and then, in a subtle way mention the brand name (more examples here and here)
  4. The trick here is commenting in the right context (where people are actually asking questions about a pain point that the client's solution solves, e.g., finding a co-founder) and then comment in the right time when the post is trending (example)

Basically, with Reddit Marketing, we found out:

  • The more indirect sales/marketing -> the better the result (think of it as a scalable word-of-mouth marketing)
